Device browser, mounting, and other root tasks in KFM

Hi,
	I've been more and more impressed with the flexibility of KFM as a tool to 
manage your system.  Here's a couple thoughts I had on tasks that normally 
require root access:
  1) Mounting files systems
	What if there was a device browser in the navigation panel whose job it was 
to show devices available for mounting and other tasks and helped you put 
them where you please.  I'm thinking specifically when when you want to mount 
a hard drive or removable device, you could just drag it to the place in the 
tree where you wanted it to appear, and a wizard would guide you through 
this, including prompting for and caching the necessary passwords for the 
duration of the action.  The functionaliy could be restricted to a set of 
users by a KDE-wide mechanism.  Is this worth it, or do people just mount 
once and go?
  2) Creating files and directories in restricted directories
	One of the most common task I find myself doing is making files and 
directories in places where where my logged-in user doesn't have write 
permission.  Open a root KFM seems a bit excessive to me in these situations, 
because I really just want to do one thing, then jump back out of being root.  
Would it be worth adding features to prompt you for the appropriate password 
when you go to manage files where you don't have adequate permission?  Again, 
this would need to be restricted to some group of users, but it might be 
really useful.

Thoughts anyone?
