As long as email programms don't support it, yes. But that shouldn't be
hard to implement I guess. Some (adhoc invented :) "Content-Metadata:
;;;"-lines before a part of a mail could store the metadata. Only (and
perhaps big) problem would be cross-system adjusting...

But should everything end at the borders of e.g. POSIX? Too sad if some
things don't work everywhere but no need to not use them where they
work.

But before they do one has to proof the concept and make it work to show
it's great advantage. IIRC there is support for EA in some filesystems
on linux now, problem might be only the lack of a concept at user side:(
