bad medium font after installing kdepim?

I installed kdepim and suddenly the "medium" font in my konsole windows 
is enormous.  For right now I've falled back to small, but I'd prefer 
medium.  Maybe I'll set a custom font, but still . . . this seems odd 
at least.

Anyway else run into this?

This is on FreeBSD with teh latest ports.
