I joined this mailing list and so far in the past several days I have not seen anyone post to it. Here is a concern I have, with the hopes that there are some people subscribed to the list. First and foremost I'm totally new to OpenBSD. I just recently defected from Red Hat. I had been with Red Hat since the 5.0 version. I like OpenBSD because of the security centric approach and because you can really customize the installation. I have been all over the web looking for documentation on how to configure KDE in order for it to be the default GUI. I have seen post and replies that, in affect, says that KDM does not work properly with OpenBSD. Then there are some notions from some people that it does work. All you have to do is configure some of the files in order to have KDE as your default GUI. I have read the documentation over at this site http://www.nomoa.com/bsd/x-windows4.htm which pretty much says that it will work. Has anyone out there configured KDE on OpenBSD 3.4 as the default GUI and if so is there any documentation they would be willing to share? I have been able to configure the X server with fvwm as the default GUI with XDM and KDE as a GUI sitting on top of fvwm, which is not at all what I would like. Any insight or pointers to documentation, or heck, confirmation that the above site documentation will actually work with OpenBSD 3.4 will be gratefully appreciated. Sincerely, Tim Rodriguez Mia/Fla
