The problem is, each person can only do so much work and most just stick with what they know, Linux, and see little point in themselves using <something else>. I use FreeBSD but I can't help you because I don't see your problem and I don't have any OpenBSD boxes. Similar logic is likely what other subscribers use. No offense is intended. What I would suggest is that you try and find other people interested in pushing KDE on OpenBSD, and form your own group. That's exactly what I did 3-4 years ago for FreeBSD. Several of us remain subscribed to this list in case someone posts a FreeBSD question here instead of at our site. If you can't find anybody, then maybe you should try working on KDE with a different OS, at least until you have a strong enough grasp of the tools KDE uses. > The only reason I bother to post these questions is that I am dealing > with so many unknowns trying to build a new version of kde on a new > platform for the first time using a whole bunch of new (to me) sw tools. > When I've got more experience with all of the software I'm > working with now (I come to openbsd most recently from a windows > visual C background) I will not bother to post questions since I am fairly > good at figuring things out when I have a managable set of unknowns. Well, the tools may not be unknown to people here, but the problems you are having are. See above.
