Configuring X11/KDE on FreeBSD

Dear Folks, 
 
I have the following question: 
 
I am running FreeBSD 5.3 RELEASE on a laptop which has the Intel 852/855 
GM/GME graphics chipset. I have also installed X11 and KDE 3.3.0 (both came 
with FreeBSD 5.3-R). 
 
I don't seem to be able to get the X server to display at a resolution 
higher than 800 x 600. Any help in this regard would be much appreciated.
