announcement: kde 3.0.2 for IRIX built with MIPSpro

I jus wanted to let you know that i finally manged to compile kde 3.0.2 with 
SGI's MIPSpro compilers. I have made Irix tardist packages for easy install 
(i hope...).  Many thanks goes to Dr. Marcus Camen and Jesse Barnes. Without 
the help of them these has not been possible.
The Packages should be available on most of the kde mirrors at least by 
tommorrow. The 'Darkstar Distribution' consists of the following packages:

arts_102.IRIX.tardist         koffice_111.IRIX.tardist
kde_i18n_de.IRIX.tardist      koffice_i18n_de.IRIX.tardist
kdeartwork_302.IRIX.tardist   kpovmodeler_02.IRIX.tardist
kdebase_302.IRIX.tardist      libxslt_1_0_18.tardist
kdegraphics_302.IRIX.tardist  pcre_3_9.tardist
kdelibs_302.IRIX.tardist      qt_305.IRIX.tardist
kdenetwork_302.IRIX.tardist

You will additionally need a few packages of freeware.sgi.com. I try to 
summarize them here and add a few notes:

- - you should install libpng 1.0.12, libjpg 6b, libmng 1.0.3, fnlib, freetype 
1.1, freetype 2.0.4, imlib 1.9.11, libiconv 1.7, libxml 2.4.17, openssl 
0.9.6c + it's dependencies, cups + it's dependencies. I am not shure whether 
you need all of them but that's what i have on my sytem.

- - the packages have been built on Irix 6.5.16; you might get missing symbols 
on older OS versions. I might think about downgrading my built host to an 
older version of Irix if it's absolut necessary (depends on requests).

- - i see a few issues on my Irix box here: my session hangs on logout though 
other say they have no problems (might be just my setup). Kio helpslave does 
not work inside of kde-helpcenter though all needed libs are available.

- - it's my very first binary tardist packages for Irix so please be gentle with
me ;-) It is going to be the 'Darkstar Distribution'. It is the name of my
brave build host (Octane 250/MXE) which was roaming through megabytes of
source code.

- - i have not placed *any* package dependency in my tardists since i dont
know yet how to do it right (i might learn that as time goes by...)

them. But don't forget: i did not develop them - i just managed to compile 
them. ;-) So please direkt bug reports to the kde site (though i am also 
interested in them; so please cc me since i am not subscribed to the mailing
