This is normal -- you get ABI issues when mixing gcc and CC libraries. The 
STLs are also spectacularly different.

Please post them. Worst case add them as attachments to a KDE3-on-Solaris page 
on Techbase. The Solaris community is really bad at building up sustainable 
knowledge of how to build KDE (except for KDE4, which happens on the 
KDE-Solaris page in Techbase and in CVSDude; KDE4 development uses the 
[email protected] mailing list and not this one).
