Bug 411722: Capture module calls for refocus too often.
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=3D411722

--- Description ---
SUMMARY:
Whenever I set an hfr value to trigger a refocus the system reduces the val=
ue
for any smaller frame, and then as soon as a slightly larger frame comes in=
 it
triggers a refocus.=20
To reproduce:=20

Expected behavior: It should not change that level if manually set.

Linux Peppermint9 5.1.20-050120-generic x86_64 GNU/Linux
Ver. 3.3.4 2019-08-08T02:43:23Z

Okay...I know this was hashed out before when someone wanted it to be more
reactive, but I think it's TOO reactive now, and is trying to do something =
that
is impossible by continually trying to improve focus well beyond sky
conditions. Maybe we could add a switch to tell it to hold the setting?
Thanks,
Ray

Additional bug found: After capture run aborted and restarted, module still
tries to refocus, despite disabling the trigger.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1.check box for "Autofocus if HFR>___"
2. Set a level for refocus and do a capture run.

OBSERVED RESULT

Unit will alter your settings with each passing capture.
For example, after measuring 1.3 in the focus, the refocus setting was set =
to 3
so it would only run if things got really bad or as needed a filter change,=
 but
once a lower figure was measured(seeing improved a bit) the field showing
threshold for refocus was lowered to .770 and then the next frame caused a
refocus.

EXPECTED RESULT
Threshold for refocus should stay as set, not rate each new image as this w=
ill
almost always result in a failed run.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

I know this was hashed out before when someone wanted it to be more reacti=
ve,
but I think it's TOO reactive now, and is trying to do something that is
impossible by continually trying to improve focus well beyond sky condition=
s.
Maybe we could add a switch to make fixed/variable available to the user? I
couldn't find that conversation as an issue so I suspect it might be on indi
forums somewhere.

Thanks,
