problems with knode word wrapping

I'm getting complaints about my posts using knode + gmane, saying the lines are not wrapped.  I have checked line wrapping in the settings, and the lines appear wrapped to me.

When I hit 'Send Now' I always see a message about 'lines are longer than 80 characters, edit?'.  I always ignore it.

Is this a defect in knode?
