Having just completed a move from one machine to another, I hope I can help. First, move these files (in ~/.kde/share/config) kmail.eventsrc kmailsnippetrc (if you have any snippets defined) kmailrc (most important) emailidentities (very important!) Copy this directory from the old location to the new location: ~/.kde/share/apps/kmail I hope that helps! j On Saturday 28 March 2009, Bruce MacArthur said something like: > Greetings -- > > I originally sent this message to Ingo Kloecker, and he suggested > that I send it to you-all. > > > > I am still running "KMail 1.9.5 (Using KDE 3.5.5 "release 45" > openSUSE 10.2)" -- where I found your name and E-Mail address as > Maintainer. > > I am planning on soon installing Kubuntu 8.10 (Intrepid Ibex), also > using KDE and K-Mail -- although I am not at all sure of the version > number of that K-Mail. > > Kubuntu 8.10 has an excellent tool, called "Dolphin", for moving > files and folders around.
