kmail in kde-4.2.3

Greetings;

It appears that kmail is trashing the subject line or the reply address 
somehow in its replies.  2 different mailing lists have now refused to process 
the email I send back to confirm the joining of a mailing list.

One of them I was able to send a web browser back to the special link and 
confirm, but the other one (for nut users) has bounced 2 confirmations as not 
going to a valid user on that list manager.  The third time I stripped the 
mail to just the 'confirm ' & hash.  That one took 36 hours to come back 
rejected just now.

Is there an open bug on this?  If not, where do I file it?
