Akonadi Compatibility Resource not writing to resources

In KDE 4.3 RC2, when adding or editing contacts in Kaddressbook via
the Akonadi Compatibility Resource the changes that I make are not
written to the std.vcf file. Is this a bug or a feature? Where is the
data stored?
