Korganizer: new events not being shown until Kontact is restarted

When I add new events to Korganizer 4.3.1 in Kontact, they do not show
in the main window. Even switching to Kaddressbook and back does not
show them, I must close and restart Kontact. Is this a known issue? Is
there a fix? It seems familiar, I think that this happened sometime
with KDE 3 a few years ago.
