kmail downloads sent mails also from gmail

hi folks,

i have configured kmail to use gmail's SMTP/POP server to send/receive mails. 
However, in one scenario kmail seems to be downloading sent mails also. The 
steps are as such:

1) Configure kmail to use gmail's pop/smtp server.
2) use your browser(and not kmail) to send a mail to someone through your 
gmail account.
3) do a "Check Mail" in kmail.

You will see that kmail downloads the sent mail in your inbox.

However, if you send a mail through gmail using kmail, this problem doesn't 
appear. Also, if you send a mail to yourself(using browser), problem doesn't 
come up.
