Yes. This information is stored in the ominous index files. The import 
functionality ignores the index files and thus during import the 
message status (replied to, forwarded, important, etc.) is lost.

Yes. Please have a look at

The (local) address book(s) are usually stored in ~/.kde/share/apps/kabc 
and the (local) calendar(s) are usually stored in 
~/.kde/share/apps/korganizer.
