Import of vCards fails

Hello,

I have a problem importing my old addressbook  in kaddressbook. I'm using
kubuntu 9.10 for AMD64 with kaddressbook version 4:4.3.2-0ubuntu6. If I try
to import something nothing happens, not even an message about the
failing. Has anybody the same problem and maybe a solution?
