Kaddressbook splitter

When I open Kaddressbook the splitter between the details window and
the list of contacts is too far too the right. This makes the four
defined columns impossible to read, and I must move the splitter to
the left before I can begin working. Is there a setting (even in a
hidden config file) that I can adjust to make the default splitter
position more to the right?
