yes - it does not explain what akonadi is good for and why it was introduced, 
in the first place.

ok, let's see if I can come up with something that makes things more clear for 
end-users, without just beeing technically wrong :)
(I think of searching what has already been written on the planet and make a 
short summary out of that..)
