hm,
I also tried to get DIMAP addressbook to work with akonadi based ressource, by 
adding a kolab (1) ressource in akonadiconsole.
it shows up there, but obviously does nothing and sees no data, although I can 
see the vcards in the contacts folder from the relevant DIMAP account and 
having enabeled groupware functions in kmail's settings.
I know, this doesn't help you, so it's just another similar report, here.
