Ok, something changed. KMail now lists some contacts. But these contacts are 
from the old resources (can be configured via system settings). These contacts 
are also the ones used for the birthday resource in korganizer.

Kaddressbook and Kontact Overview (birthdays) are using the akonadi stuff.


Any chance to get all kdepim either use the old resources oder the akonadi 
stuff?
