You are right on target Ingo. I see my X-face but not the one stored in 
address book. Curiously I still see them when I switch to address book.

BTW, I cannot seem to make nepomuk/strigi work anymore here under Mandriva 
2010.0 with kde 4.4. I am not sure if this is related to the other issue 
above.

Maybe it is because of the different flavours of linux, kde, etc. :).
