I think it's not.
as stated, I _did_  select  "Address book on IMAP server via KMail"  in
kaddressbook, the mentioned 'kolab 1' type is in kmail's groupware config
(see http://dl.dropbox.com/u/1760509/screenshots/kolab.png).
there you can only select kolab1 or kolab2 (xml) which is definitely wrong
here, as there are vcards in my DIMAP folder.
