Re: quoting text in reply in KMail

This appears to work:

Pull-down Settings --> Configure Kmail.  Select Composer, then Standard 
Templates.  In the large New Message box, space down two lines, and type 
%BLANK.  Do the same for Reply to Sender, Reply to All, and Forward Message, 
as required.
