Thanks for your reply. Nepomuk is running and appears to update the 
Contact folder. Not sure it mysql db is updated, assume it is. I'll 
search KDE techbase again. I did find a place to specify a host in 
the server config. but I not sure about the options which presently 
point to ~/.local/akonadi.
