If you recall, I was having the following issues on upgrade to 4.4.3 in Debian Testing: 1. kaddressbook wasn't deleting old address books that it had picked up from somewhere. 2. kaddressbook wasn't letting me add my dir address book with nearly 17K entries. 3. Akonadi would gratuitously keep adding new address book sources whenever I looked at the Akonadi console. 4. KBBDB had stopped working. Solutions found (no guarantees they'll work for anyone else): 1 (old address books) got solved by following http://userbase.kde.org/Akonadi_4.4/Troubleshooting#Kubuntu_10.4_Upgrade 2 (adding dir address book) got solved when I rm -rf'ed .local/share/akonadi/ and .config/akonadi/ before logging in to KDE 3 (new address books popping up) is still unclear -- don't know whether it's solved or not. Last time I checked Akonadi still seemed to be adding new sources whenever it got bored. 4 (kbbdb) is not yet solved since the qdbus interface to kaddressbook seems to have changed. Anyone got an idea how to (a) determine which interface should be used and (b) how to send a new VCard to kaddressbook? Kaddressbook interfaces seem to change more often than my undergarments (and I'm quite finicky about personal hygiene!)
