Kaddressbook suddenly not displaying anything?

I've got functionality of the addressbook in that if I'm in Kmail it has a bunch of emails and names when I scroll.  But I just went to look up an address and found that no info at all was being displayed in the card.  Nothing.

What on earth causes this and how can I fix it?
