To be perfectly honest - I don't understand the upset feelings. Kmail is a *tool*. To get upset about how people want to use a tool is not all that constructive. No one is forcing anyone else to use the tool in the same way.

HTML mail may very well be required in some situations - so *personal* opinions among developers/users on how to use the tool might not be the most valid argument.

Technical/resource reasons as mentioned earlier are much more valid imho.
