I've been having this problem since 3.5.7 I think.

Just updated KDEPIM to 4.4 - no idea if it's any better, but IMAP no longer
supported (in the year of our lord, 2010!) and "neposuck" keeping hard disk
continuously active (what the hell does that thing do?).
