Archiving emails to external media

Hi All,
		Thanks to Pablo and Art and dil23 for interest in my problem.
It seems to me there is no way to do this YET.
	I think I should see If we can get help from the team who write the  kmail 
program. Perhaps they can write a program or script we can patch onto Kmail 
to make this facility available.
	I do not throw emails I recieve out and would strongly prefer to go through 
an archive of last years emails searching by sender/reciever ---  date ---- 
Subject line. Same would apply to emails I have sent.
	In closing I must mention that after reading the problems users are having 
with attempts to transfer existing things to upgrades and later versions of 
Kmail , I am highly relieved that I did not try to change to a later version. 	
	I am still using KDE3.5 and did not like what I saw when I tried to upgrade 
to KDE4 plus , although my Suse Linux allows me to install iether of them.
If I get an answer to solving my archive to external media need I will post it 
here.
