I'm not using IMAP so I might be wrong here, but: if your email is still on the IMAP server, why would you like to IMPORT it to some other mail client ? Just point your new mail client to the same IMAP server. But if you'd like to have all your mails on one client PC (e.g. this is what I do) also to be your own master of all your data and to be able to backup mails easily, then you should be able to define a kmail filter rule on the IMAP account which simply moves all received mails into a local maildir folder (that is: download mail from server, move mail into maildir folder locally, remove mail from IMAP server) BTW: to do (automated or manual) backups, have a look at kbackup http://kde-apps.org/content/show.php?content=44998 -- Best regards/Schöne Grüße Martin A: Because it breaks the logical sequence of discussion Q: Why is top posting bad?
