KMail2 not recovering from lost connection without restart

A KMail2 user tells me that while his migration went well, he finds that if he 
momentarily loses connection to his imap server (not unusual for him) KMail is 
not able to recover that folder without restarting KMail.  Is there a known fix 
for this?
