Kmail2 when will it be stable and what to delete to start again

After two attempts to use Kmail2 - three questions that many people would probably like answered. 

1. When / how will anyone tell us that Kmail2 is reliable, the migration will work and workarounds / fixes when it doesn't for individual cases?

2. After two attempts installing Kmail2, I've probably created a number of files that need to be deleted before my next attempt. 
Which files should be deleted?

3. Akonadi seems to have two entries for every (pop) email account. 
Is it safe to delete these duplicates?
