KMail Folders: Cannot modify emails in folder

Kubuntu upgrade from 11.04 to 11.10, KDE 4.7.2

From time to time since the upgrade I got message on my system tray that 
"KMail Folders: Cannot modify emails in folder". I have this message every 
time I classify a message received as SPAM. All the rest just works.  Can 
anyone help?  Thanks.
