Thanks for this information. Actually, I was hoping that I had escaped 
from Akonadi altogether, because I see it as a useless gewgaw FOR ME and 
potential source of problems. I'll try that again when I upgrade to new 
release of oS next month(?), even if that means moving to TBird.
