that's a workaround, not a solution.


a *better workaround* would be a way to make that setting the 
*default* so that *normal users* wouldn't have to *ask the sysadmin* 
to adjust that for them.

is there a mysql.conf and/or akonadi rc file somewhere that gets used 
for mysql when someone starts "from scratch"?
