shortcuts and toolbar settings are not saved

Just to confirm if others have experienced the same issue and to share a 
solution that seems to be working for me.
- toolbar: added "delete" button
- shortcuts: added alternate for "Delete" and "Move to Trash"

On KMail or Kontact restart none of the settings were preserved.

The fix was to force a reset to "defaults" (click the appropriate button for 
each scenario) and then add back the customizations.
