duplicate message and read status hell?!

Hi again,

Is there a way to convince kmail2 to not duplicating messages all over?

It also seems to not be able to properly maintain read status. 

The action "mark mail as read" appears to be a toggle, which is new (in 
kmail2, or to me) behavior, is that correct?
