KMail crashes trying to render HTML messages

If KMail has been open for awhile, when I click on the link in the message to 
render an HTML message, it will, more often than not, crash KMail. If I kill 
all the IMAP and POP processes, then stop akonadi, and restart KMail, then go 
back, it will successfully render the HTML until I've let it sit for awhile.

Any ideas? I've seen several bugs reported that are similar to this, so I 
haven't filed my own report. The closest bug I can find is bug 284777 
(https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=284777)

That bug says that it's q "webkit" / Konqi bug. Is there any way to change the 
rendering engine in KMail until this is resolved?
