I've done it and you was right with a brand new user I was able to open
and run kde (and its applications) as fast as usually.

Seems that the faulty applications was akonadi and nepomuk, avoiding to
copy (yes I had to move all my stuff to the new user since removing them
from the old one wasn't enough) their configuration files has done the
trick.
