No, I would not say it is the same. From 4.8.x NOTHING works with 
addressbook autocompletion - in 4.7.x it works on and off (my 
experience). So to me this is new and quite frankly I don't understand 
how coders can overlook something so basic.. if you are on KDE and use 
KMail/Kontact that is
