Restoring backups Kmail2

Dear all,

Runnung Kubuntu 11.10 with KDE 4.8.2.

I'll get a new machine next week and will have a fresh installation on it
(with Kubuntu 12.04, same KDE).  I have a full backup of the system in a
separate disk with rsync. How can I restore my mail in Kmail? Before seems
to be easy, with KMail2 I am a bit lost.  Is there an easy way to do that
(like copying some key folders)?

Any ideas are welcome.
