Have the same issue, at least I think so. For every sent email that is 
moved to the "receiving" folder (I prefer to keep replies in the 
originating folder rather than "sent emails" folder) I get a 
notificiation that a new mail has been received. Which, from my point of 
view, has not happened. I have only asked to get a sent mail to reside 
on same folder as the originating mail.

And while I am it Spam mail refuses to be set as "read" in the filters. 
It lands in Spam which is fine but I have set them to also be marked as 
read. Does not happen here.

new bugs in 4.8.x, at least for me.
