I'm still having trouble with it (using grep I can find 7-8 messages that kmail 
find doesn't).  Is there any way to get messages reindexed in a particular 
folder?  Or some way of triggering a reindex other than copying the messages 
to a new folder from the command line (the only method I've found to date that 
works)?

I'm currently running kontact and kmail 4.8.4
