Well, version 4.9 is NOT available in my OpenSuSe repos yet, and I understand it won't be available until OpenSuSe 12.3, so it's not a lot of use to me. I have not had great experiences installing newer versions than those supplied by my OS. > Whether it is an improvement or not is up to each and every one - while > I can find myself wishing for a "fork" of the old KDEPIM I can > understand the problem of keeping it alive and updated. What problem? KDE3 is alive and well, and is expected to be so for a long time. > And I could add that also v 4.7.x worked quite well while I was most > unhappy with 4.8.x - and choose not to upgrade. Those are exactly the sort of reasons why I will keep trying newer versions of KDE4, but suspect I will prefer KDE3 versions of KDEPIM. I really like both OpenSuSe and KDE4 in general, which is why I'm sticking to them and will keep trying the new versions of KDEPIM, so I'm hopeful. -- Bob Smits <[email protected]> "Microsoft is not the answer.
