groups/distribution lists still not working in kmail ?

kmail 4.9.3 (kubuntu 12.04) here:
anyone knows how to get distribution-lists to work as expected ?
I can create groups here in addressbook, but trying to send an email to a 
group, this does not expand to the individual addresses in the group, but just 
'groupname@mycomputer'
