kmail/adressbook/nepomuk weirdness

I'm currently trying to get addressbook-autocompletion in kmail to work, as 
well as distribution lists/groups.
nepomuk indexer is running, desktop search works (search in files).
but wether I tell nepomuk settings to do email indexing or not, or include 
~/.local/share/contacts in indexing (which seems to be done) or not:
no addressbook autocompletion nor dist. lists do work, only recent adresses.
what am I doing wrong ?
(kde 4.9.4, kubuntu 12.04)
