Incoming HTML mail strangeness

Hi

I got an email this morning that displayed only 1 line of text i.e. "There is 
no text version for this email" so it looked like the body was lost.  If i 
select reply, it displays the missing email text which was in html.
If I check "Folder/Prefer HTML to Text" , then it displays properly

Normally i do not have the "Folder/Prefer HTML to Text" checked and all html 
emails display in a text format with the option in the email text to click to 
display the email in html format. 

Any ideas what is weird about this email?
