Seeing duplicates in 4.10.2

Qt: 4.8.2
KDE Development Platform: 4.10.2
Kontact: 4.10.2

After updating from Kubuntu repositories to 4.10.2 I'm seeing duplicate 
messages in my inbox (or, rather, a duplicate).  It appeared as an unread 
message but has the identical gmail ID as the other, so it looks like some 
artifact of indexing gone wrong.  It doesn't look like the filtering duplicate 
bug (#883459) unless that one can duplicate an email from 4 days ago that was 
not subject to refiltering.
