Hi I'm trying to locate where my emails are held. I've read http://blogs.kde.org/node/4503 ( Akonadi misconception #1: where is my data?) and it states the following "In case of POP3, the mails is stored immediately after download in a local maildir folder. The actual place of the folder depends on your configuration, it can be just as $HOME/Mail, as $HOME/kde./share/apps/kmail/ or $HOME/.local/share/.local-mail (for new installations)." It also says "To make it clear from the beginning: the Akonadi database is NOT your MAIN data storage. Even if it gets destroyed, removed, your data is still safe." On my opensuse 12.3 Kde/Kmail 4.10.4 system I have the following situation 1. $HOME/Mail - Does not exist 2. $HOME/kde./share/apps/kmail/ - I actually have $HOME/.kde4/share/apps/kmail2/ which only has an "autosave" folder, "rc" files and a lock file 3. $HOME/.local/share/.local-mail - I have "$HOME/.local/share/local-mail/" with 3 empty folders, "cur", "tmp" & "new". This "$HOME/.local/share/" also has an "akonadi" folder with various "db" folders. Thie blog is dates 13 Nov 2011 so i guess it may be really old information. Any ideas? regards Ian _______________________________________________ KDE PIM users mailing list Subscription management: https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kdepim-users
